Peaks & Plains make significant contributions to the local community, including supporting the Gawsworth village shop, a wide number of local charities and community organisations. Francesca Worthington, Customer Experience Manager

Introduction

Peaks and Plains Housing Trust is a social landlord created in 2006 following a transfer from the Macclesfield Borough Council.  They own and manage almost 5000 homes across Cheshire East and Derbyshire, as well as providing a wide range of housing related services. Their purpose is ‘Helping improve lives’, whether that’s the lives of our customers, other local residents or our staff.

Their Board is made up of representatives from three groups: tenants, council nominees, and independent people.  The Board's role is to set a strategic direction, monitoring their progress towards objectives and make sure that they're performing as agreed.

Though each member is nominally drawn from a stakeholding group, this is only relevant in as much as it relates to the experience they bring; when considering Trust business, Board members are individually and collectively responsible for pursuing Peaks 7 Plains' best interest.
