Helping Customer Care Teams Get More from clixifix®

When I speak to customer care teams, I often hear the same challenges come up.

Defects are being managed across emails, spreadsheets and phone calls. Updates are sitting in different places. Contractors need chasing. Residents want to know what is happening. Internal teams need clear information, but pulling everything together can take time.

Moving to a dedicated platform like clixifix® can make a real difference, but I also know that changing the way a team works is not always straightforward. For a lot of teams, the concern is not simply learning a new system. It is making sure it fits around their process, that everyone feels confident using it, and that they have someone there to support them along the way.

For me, Customer Success is about much more than helping a client get set up and then checking in from time to time. It is about getting to know the teams behind the system, understanding how they work day to day, and building the kind of relationship where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing challenges and being honest about what they need.

Sometimes that happens on a training call. Sometimes it happens during a review meeting. Sometimes it happens over a cuppa and a chat.

I have visited clients as far down as Jersey and I work with teams across the Irish Sea too. Wherever the team is based, the conversations are often just as important as the platform itself.

Getting to know the people behind the process

One of the things I enjoy most about my role is getting to know clients properly.

Customer care is a busy, people-focused job, so it helps when there is a genuine relationship there. I have developed real friendships with a lot of my clients, often starting with simple conversations about shared experiences, from having young children to asking about their dogs as much as their day-to-day process challenges.

Finding that common ground matters because it builds trust. They make it easier to understand what is really happening behind the scenes, where the pressure points are, and how clixifix® can support each team in a practical way.

Making the move feel manageable

One of the biggest improvements I see is the clarity clixifix® creates around responsibility.

When a defect is logged, triaged and nominated in one place, it is much easier to see who is responsible and what needs to happen next. Customer care teams can track progress, contractors can see what has been assigned to them, and residents can be kept informed throughout the process.

But the system is only part of the story. The way teams use it, the confidence they have in it, and the support they receive along the way all play a huge role in the value they get from clixifix®.

More than just go-live support

For me, Customer Success means making sure clients are not just handed a system and left to work it out. It means helping teams get real value from clixifix®, whether that is saving time, improving communication, reviewing performance or simply feeling more in control of their aftercare process.

It also means being there after go-live. Checking in, answering questions, sharing best practice, visiting teams when needed, and making sure the platform continues to work for them as their needs change. Aftercare will always have moving parts, but with the right process, the right platform and the right support around you, it can feel much more organised.

And sometimes, that starts with a conversation, a cuppa, and understanding what a team really needs.
