We are Raven and we are proud to put our customers at the heart of everything we do.

Raven Homes are part of an established, award-winning provider of homes throughout Surrey and Sussex, Raven Housing Trust. Their aim is to create inspirational new communities, helping people realise aspirations of home ownership and, providing unrivalled customer service.

Collaboration is key – Raven Homes is passionate about working with others to deliver quality new homes via Section 106 agreements with developers and through buying land and building homes for themselves. Their latest scheme, Burrstone Gardens at Merstham, Surrey has seen 50 new homes being delivered in an area welcoming new homes.

Future plans – Raven is part of the cross-sector group, ‘Building Better’ – seeking to deliver more offsite construction in the sector by providing standard house types, aggregating their pipelines and procuring at scale.

The Raven business plan presents a housing supply programme of around 200 new homes per year in a mix of tenures that will include building homes for Shared Ownership as well as a private sale. All their new homes are energy efficient and combine contemporary design with exacting build standards.

Current developments offering properties for Shared Ownership include:

  • Burgess Hill, West Sussex
  • Horley, Surrey
  • Crawley, West Sussex
  • Billingshurst, West Sussex
  • Turners Hill, West Sussex

Raven believes that every home matters and that’s they are committed to an ambitious programme of building on average 220 affordable homes and 40-50 for market sale every year.

Shared ownership provides the opportunity to purchase a share in a property which is usually between 25% and 75% of the property value, making homeownership more affordable. You pay for a mortgage on the share you buy and pay rent to Raven on the remainder.

Resales are homes that previous customers purchased through shared ownership which are offered for sale. The process is the same as buying with shared ownership but new owners buy the same or a higher percentage share than that of the seller.
